There are a number of different ways in which you can pay your Bristol Energy account, depending on your agreed payment type.
The easiest way to pay your bill is by Direct Debit. We tell you in advance when each payment will be made, so you remain in control. You can choose to pay a fixed amount each month or it can vary depending on how much energy you’ve used. You can set up a Direct Debit by emailing CustomerCare@bristol-energy.co.uk or over the phone by calling 0808 281 2222.

From your bank account
You can also pay directly from your bank account by making a payment to Bristol Energy using our account details below. Please use your Bristol Energy account number as the payment reference to help us allocate the payment to your account.

We have a secure telephone line where you can speak to one of our team and make a payment. Please call on 0808 281 2222 and quote the reference number which you will find at the bottom of your bill under the barcode.
Over the counter
You can pay your bill at the Post Office, via PayPoint by scanning the barcode on your bill. You can pay by cash, cheques and cards this way.
This type of meter means you can pay in regular instalments. Talk to us if you would prefer to pay by this method. They can be topped up by simply taking your card or key to all participating Post Offices, or any service station or shop where you see the PayPoint or Payzone signs. Pay with Bristol Pound
Bristol Pound Members can now pay Bristol Energy bills in Bristol Pounds through online Bristol Pound accounts. Customers who wish to pay with Bristol Pounds need to select “Pay On Receipt Of Bill” as a payment method.

How to pay a bill for your business account
How you pay your business bill is part of the terms and conditions of your contract; for Bristol Energy Business customers this is normally by Variable Direct Debit on or around 14 days of the date of the bill. Variable Direct Debit means that your payments will vary depending on how much energy you’ve used during the last billing period.
Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay your bill, we tell you in advance when each payment will be made, so you remain in control, and you are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
